P2C's Autumn Walk

P2C had a fab time today, searching for evidence of Autumn. We found lots of leaves that had fallen from the trees, spotted all of the changing colours, and noticed the change in weather. We used iPads to record the evidence (photos to follow). Most of all, we just enjoyed playing with the leaves!

Serena's Fundraising Cafe for Syrian Appeal

Very well done Serena in P2b, who raised nearly £20 for the Sciennes' Syrian Appeal by running a charity bake sale for her neighbours in the back garden on Saturday 4th October It was all her own ideas and work, including the Serena's Charity Cafe sign, menu and cakes. A tremendous effort!

Today P2C were using their senses to explore WOW words (describing words). In groups the children rotated round 5 different stations and had to work together to come up with as many WOW words as they could. 

Community Walk for P2C

Today we had a lovely time exploring the local community in the sunshine. We spotted lots of things around us and worked together to tick them off our list. 😀

The P2 Marshmallow Challenge

Today we got together for our very first P2 gathering. The reason: to find out about a very special challenge. Our task was to build a tower using only:

- 20 pieces of spaghetti

- 1 metre of string

- 1 metre of masking tape

- 1 marshmallow

Of course, we were all up for the challenge!

Bear Week in Primary 1 (P1b)

We've been having fun doing bear-themed activities for 'Bear Week'. We've been imaginative in our porridge pot, turned into bears in the house of the bears and we've even built houses for the bears using Duplo. We also made our own gummy bears which we're looking forward to eating on Thursday at our Teddy Bears' picnic. We're looking forward to the other activities in store for the rest of the week!
